Melanie Förster

I joined the Metropolitan School Frankfurt from the banking sector more than 14 years ago. I gained my professional experience at an Arab bank in the international payments department as well as in the audit department. For this reason, it was already clear to me back then that I wanted to continue working in the international field. When I joined the Metropolitan School Frankfurt in 2009, the school was only two years old and still in the development phase. Since the school was still very small at that time, I started working in the school office, where my main responsibilities were in finance, accounting, procurement, and human resources. During these years, I was able to gain extensive experience in international education and witness and help shape the school's growth into the secondary level. Since 2017, I have been working as Finance Manager at the Metropolitan School Frankfurt.

I am convinced that international schools provide a place for children of every nationality for excellent education in a dynamic, creative, and mindful community, and that this is further strengthened through active exchange in the AGIS community.
